Getting rid of social notifications

For a while now I have been pretty bothered by all the notifications i receive from Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn in particular. Despite all kinds of filters I am getting more and more tired of beng bombarded with emails urging me to stop what I’m doing and go look at…whatever. The first social network to get the make over over Twitter. So without further ado I present to you a settings page without any enabled notifications.   And here’s LinkedIn, or at least a small part of it.

Twitter køber Tweetie

In an unsurprising move, Twitter has acquired atebits and their excellent client for iPhone (Tweetie) will become Twitter for iPhone. With that renaming, does Twitter close the door to Tweetie continuing on OSX, let alone appearing at some point in the future on & Windows Phone 7? I could understand to some extend Twitter choosing not to invest in desktop OS’es but it’d be a shame to see their official Twitter client restricted only to iPhone. Sure it has the lions share of the Smartphone market and there are other clients on Windows Phone and Blackberry but will having the...

Facebook vs. Twitter

Man Resigns On Twitter In Haiku. Happens To Be Sun CEO Jonathan Schwartz.

Dette er en ret morsom historie, som viser hvad man også kan bruge Twitter til. Historien bliver selvfølgelig lidt bedre når der er tale om en person, der er rimeligt højt profileret i IT branchen. When you’re on your way out of a job, there’s a lot of fun ways to exit. Some choose to take all the staplers in the office, some show up to the last day in shorts, some pull a Jerry Maguire. And some tweet out a haiku. … Really, what more needs to be said? Schwartz had been serving as Sun’s CEO since 2006; prior...
